Dr. James Graves
Dr. Graves attended West High School in Anchorage, University of Alaska in Anchorage, Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and Pacific University College of Optometry. His graduate training included service at the Albina Action Center (for the underprivileged) in Portland, Oregon, the Seattle Indian Health Board, the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation Clinic, the Alaska Native Medical Center and the Pacific University Clinics.
Dr. Graves has been an Associate Director for the Eye Bank-Division 49, a past chairman for the Sights and Hearing Saving Committee with the Lion's Club, past chairman of the Continuing Education Committee with the Alaska Optometric Association and has lectured for the President's Council of Physical Fitness. Since becoming an Optometric Physician in Alaska he has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alaska Optometric Association. He is certified to treat and mange eye disease and injury; and was the first doctor in Alaska to be certified by the FDA to provide Corneal Refractive Therapy. Dr. Graves currently serves on the Board for the State of Alaska licensing division for Optometry. He enjoys his family, music and most outdoor sports.
